On Monday, October 18th, we embarked on a journey that kicked off HU's homecoming week! What a journey it was... From the great performances by some of the DMV's rising stars, to the actual show, to all the beautiful people that were in the building.. I have to say, UATW did it again! If you missed it, shame on you, but at least you can check out the pics!
Thanks to everyone that made this possible, but especially Al Hebron and Lisa Cooke, who tirelessly worked to pull this off. Thanks to Paapa Grantson for holding down security (LOL!). Thanks to our great bartenders, the wonderful Shannon Kimber and Shannon Rosana (The goose got folks loose!) Kevin Satterwhite, Eddy Dent,Dre All day in the paint, Big G, all the paparazzi that was there, just everyone for making the show a success!
Special thanks to Parrish and Dapper, Blac Label, Five Four!
Now on to the footage!

HU HOMECOMING FASHION SHOW!

Brand Watch: Kudeta
The name Kudeta is a play on the French phrase "Coupe d'etat"- which is a sudden takeover of a government or institution. Kudeta's extensive deim library consists of slim to loose fits with very intense washes! One of the key ingredients in Kudeta bottoms is that they all come with stylish leather or cloth belts.
Look for these at your local, neighborhood UATW!
Brand Watch: Black Apple
Seriously, seriously, HOT FIRE!
Influenced by the runt and romance of rock chic, Black Apple is the new men’s label by the creators of the cult brand Public School. Taking inspiration from the good, the bad and the ugly, Black Apple is a back stage pass to the hardest band you never heard of. The aesthetic is tough, masculine and detailed. Leather vests, destructed fleece hoods, coated twills and processed denim, Black Apple is the wardrobe for every bad-ass kid your mother warned you about. Pulling references from punk, hip hop, rock and everything in between, the collection is a mood altering experience. Inspired in every way by their hometown, Black Apple is also the unofficial moniker for New York City. The imperfect streets, the looming grayness and palpable energy all provide the perfect backdrop for Black Apple’s do or die mantra. Armed with a youthful spirit and undeniable attitude, Black Apple has arrived to claim the title of “The Hardest Brand” in the world.

Good look MOB
M.O.B. stays true to it's roots with it's new collection. One word. DOPE!
Married to the Mob picks up where it left off last season with their approach to luxury “crisp fall nights and first dates” with a strong palette of bold and bright colors. The collection’s different angles enable a different style dependent on the occasion from casual walks to times where something a little classier is needed to fit the bill.
