OMG, DOPE! get it....They have weed plants on them and I reffered to them as DOPE! Wow, I never cease ot amaze myself with my own cheesy-ness. Anyway they are from Skidz...yes you heard me, Skidz. Nice light cotton, internal draw string, and a hidey-hole pocket on the inside where you can stash your...

Got sicky with iKY

Dear UATW,

I just want to thank you for the biggest launch event in iKY's history. The store was slammed, the vibe was electric, and iKY managed to sell 64 pieces (35 at the register) which blows away the 14 that we had sold at Commander Salamander.

iKY had more than 50 people fly in for the event from NYC, Chicago, DC, and locals from Miami.

Francy was amazing to work with and can testify to the organized chaos that took place as Ferry fans were jumping, chanting, and dancing while screaming "FERRY!!! FERRY!!!". The best part of the event is that every fan bought up to 2 Ferry signature garments and received a FREE Rockstar drink, iKY key chain, and iKY Ferry poster for him to sign.

A local Miami Nightlife tv station filmed the event and interviewed Ferry and fans for a special segment.

Special thanks to Tim for truly getting behind this event and staying committed to making this in store promo go off like gangbusters.

And thanks to all of you for your support of iKY Clothing.

Haut-Hobo

We have a lot of fashion magazines at UATW Global HQ, I mean a lot. Most are stored on book cases in the halls, many are in the executive bathroom. As I sit amoungst the marble statues of roman boys in said executive water closet, I am afforded the time to flip through great high-end runway and fashion magazines from all over the world. Lately (the past three years) many of the spreads have a grimey feel to the shoot itself, with scenes of urban blight juxtaposed to the layered wool and cotton of some 2500 dollar get-up. The models look filthy and addicted, blankly staring down the lens.
It seems you can achieve this look with out spending too much by simply adopting a hobo lifestyle. By jumping trains and sleeping in scrap yards one can perfect a haut vagabond look. The site that posted the images commented "These are great photographs, whether the subjects are granola punks, lazy or disabled in any way is beside the point . The photos reflect an alternative lifestyle, something we don't get to see up close. I found viewing them an extraordinary reminder of youth, poverty, freedom, desolation, dirt, filth" I found the people in the pictorial to have a certian desperate style that seems dapper out of necessity. It's amazing where you can find amazing culture. check out the full spread->>

Avoid the last pic at the bottom if you are sketchy about eviscerated possums. Hey, they gotta eat.

Marcus has the '80 pimpin'

Ever thought you were born too late to rock the flavor you want to? Marcus's folks needed to kick it fifteen years earlier than they did so he could have rocked the '80's in the actual '80's... but he is bringing the style full effect with his 10 deep purple denim, orisue top and give props to the MotoFlip phone (it will store 10 actual phone numbers and has a real LED display). He didn't dress like this for the photo...this is how he flosses. Totally radical. Thanks Marcus of Wheaton Plaza for the look. LU23
