The Finer Things in Life
Hey guys,
James from VCC here I figured i'd throw in my fav things at the moment.
Favorite Whip: Performance Mopeds(theres nothing quite like riding thru the mean streets of richmond on a moped that goes 50+)
Must have clothing item: Cut off jean shorts(theres nothing quite like spending a year and a half breaking in your favorite pair of apcs to just say f*ck it and turn them into cut offs)
Best shoes: Visvim (nevermind a gucci shoe, if you wanna impress all your friends with being different and original just take the chinatown to NYC or hop on the handlebars of someones track bike over to union and getchu some)
p.s. For extra cool points, check out clae, gourmet, pointer, common projects. when the majors stop being heat, its time to progress and this is definitely the time for indie brands to shine.
Favorite food: Ethiopian food (who knew they had so much good food) The closest thing I can relate it to is indian food in that its consistancy is really close(paste like or heavy sauced food) and the best part is you eat it with your hands, they give you this really great flatbread thats basically like a really airy sourdough pankcake to scoop the food up with. DC I know you have a couple of great spots in adams morgan so hit it up.
see doesnt it look like theyre having fun!
Favorite Album: Bad Brains- Rock for Light
(If youve never heard this band before, you are missing out on so much. Started in 1977 in DC this band came out swinging on the then blossoming DC punk/hardcore scene. Beyond their mind blowing riffs and insane stage antics, this band broke down a barrier in that at the time hardcore and punk in general was dominated by inner city and surburban white guys. No band will ever push boundaries the way this band has and that is a fact. Challenge me, you will lose.)
Well kids Im all spent for now, but lets see what next time brings.
