After working with Yves Saint Laurent and departing to create a new menswear image for Dior Homme, Hedi Slimane will no longer be designing for the renowned line with the hopes of getting his own line started. As understood, negotiations started to go downhill when Slimane's contract ended last July. Dior was willing to back the Hedi Slimane Brand, but Slimane could not see giving up the the ownership of his name.As reported, differences over the estimated value of the Hedi Slimane Brand ultimately caused the stalemate.Dior is looking for the new look of it's men's wear.
